Our Lake Michigan Circle Tour (LMCT) is the perfect getaway for new riders and experienced sightseers alike. The most relaxed of our group tour collection, it balances daily saddle time with pleasant stops and photo ops. Quiet backroads connect small towns to one another, highlighting unique characteristics and local specialties.

This journey covers four states in five days. Along the way, we'll visit the points, see the sights and eat the eats while (mostly) hugging the coast line. That means scenery, seclusion and a heavy concentration of [build_link]|pasties[/build_link] + ice cream.

Yes, there are plenty of twisties in the mix as we run our own custom version of the route. Personalized experience being our goal, it's still only part of the take away. Deviation from the norm is what makes the motorcycling world go 'round and with that, we hope you'll join us!

Schedule and Accommodations

Group riding times are discussed/announced the night before. All lodging is included. Some lodging includes breakfast. Customers are responsible for gas, food and excursion fees unless otherwise stated below. Each coordinator will have a limited array of roadside tools. Bring any obscure utilities specific to your motorcycle.

Let's gather and get acquainted! If you take Sheridan Road north, then [tripadvisor]Grayslake, Illinois|Grayslake, Illinois[/tripadvisor] is just a pleasure cruise from Chicago. Its downtown plays home to many reasonably priced restaurants. We'll meet at 5pm in our hotel lobby, decide where to eat and discuss all things tour.

We kick our day off heading northwest. That's right. You read it correctly. We're heading away from the lake on what used to be our product testing route ([build_link]|Libertyville to Waterford|_blank[/build_link]). Why, you ask? For the [build_link]|Kettle Moraine Scenic Drive|_blank[/build_link], a pleasantly curvy road through Wisconsin's beautiful countryside, capped with a coastline cruise into [tripadvisor]Algoma,Wisconsin|Algoma[/tripadvisor].

Day two sticks close to the shoreline, skirting Lake Michigan and Green Bay, respectively. Many wilderness areas dot our path up to Gills Rock and Northport, bouncing southwest via Bay Shore Drive until we have access to what is northeast. Cutting the inside apex at Green Bay, a bit of county road "alphabet soup" puts us in more natural wildlife all the way to [tripadvisor]Escanaba, Michigan|Escanaba[/tripadvisor].

Now, we're optionally off to Lake Superior (discussed individually the night before). Gwinn State Forest Area keeps things rural, delivering us into Marquette, Michigan. A brief 30-mile jaunt east steers south at Au Train into the gorgeous Hiawatha National Forest. Manistique touches Blaney Park which then links to Epoufette and the famous [build_link]|Tunnel of Trees[/build_link]. A right turn at Petoskey State Park follows its waterline into [tripadvisor]Charlevoix, Michigan|Charlevoix[/tripadvisor], where our lodging awaits.

It's all about the Lake Michigan shores today. Boyne City, Korthase and Old State Roads meander into Pleasant Valley before US-31 and SR-22 dive into Traverse City. Light curves come and go via Northport, Leland, Glen Arbor, Empire, Frankfort and [build_link]|Arcadia Dunes Nature Preserve[/build_link]. A beeline south of Manistee parallels outdoor recreation areas until we conclude our day just north of [tripadvisor]Pentwater, Michigan|Pentwater[/tripadvisor].

We're in the homestretch! Plenty of "nice little towns" mark our way to the Indiana border. Both "Havens" ([tripadvisor]Grand Haven, Michigan|Grand[/tripadvisor]/[tripadvisor]South Haven, Michigan|South[/tripadvisor]) are the tourist traps worth getting caught up in, assuming we need a break. The travels continue avoiding I-94, favoring Red Arrow Highway and SR-12 under the moniker of [build_link]|Dunes Highway[/build_link]. As south turns west, we make our way around Gary, Indiana, finally rejoining 41 North and eventually completing the circuit.

Make your way home! Seriously. It's likely we've all had a wonderful time riding incredible roads while bonding with new friends ... but all good things [build_link]|have their end[/build_link]. We're grateful for your business and look forward to riding with you again in the future, schedules permitting. We kindly ask that you [build_link]50|contact us[/build_link] and let us know that you've made it home safe!
